PCM (Personal Contact Manager)
What is PCM?
PCM is an electronic Personal Contact Manager (address book). It will allow you to keep track of all your contacts nicely and easily. The application has a modular design which allows you to enable or disable features. This means that PCM can have as many or as little functionality as you need.
Project Status
PCM is currently at version 1.0.2 this is just a small bug fix to the application. Mainly fixing a dependency issue for the update centre. Version 1.1 is already in planning and will have many new features.
Mission Statement
To provide a cross platform Personal Contact Manager (Address Book). The application will utilise open source projects and other software where possible.
Design
PCM is a modular application allowing for easy maintenance and additional features to be added. It is based on the Netbeans Platform. The application is written entirely in Java and make use of some of the new features available with in Java today.

- Add/Edit and Delete Contacts - For full details of what a contact consists of see main details
- Search capabilities - Name, Company, Post Code etc
- Get a map pf where the contact is. This is currently limited to the United Kingdom and the United States.
- Export and Import vCard versions 2.1, 3.0
Download
This application is written entirely in Java. In order to use this application you will need to download JRE 1.5 or greater from Sun Microsystems site.
Select operating system to download the application. Currently I am experiencing problems with the Mac OS X build. I hope to have these issues resolved as soon as possible. If you can help testing a Mac build or our interested in a build please email me at david at thebeerfamily dot com.
